Myers Cocktail & IV Hydration

$150

Myers' cocktail and IV hydration in Midtown NYC — magnesium, B-complex, B12, calcium, and vitamin C, physician-supervised. From $150.

Book This IV

Our Myers’ cocktail is the classic IV wellness formula — magnesium, B-complex, B12, calcium, and vitamin C — combined with IV fluids for rehydration. People reach for it after intense exercise, travel, heat, or a rough night, when they want fast fluids and a vitamin-and-mineral top-up under medical supervision rather than drinking water alone. Below, we’re candid about what the evidence does and doesn’t support.

Key Ingredients

  • Magnesium Chloride — Supports muscle relaxation, nerve function, and reduces inflammation
  • B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 — Essential vitamins that support energy, metabolism, brain function, and stress resilience
  • Hydroxocobalamin (B12) — Long-lasting B12 that boosts energy and supports nerve health
  • Calcium Gluconate — Helps maintain strong bones, supports heart rhythm, and nerve signaling
  • Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) — Boosts immunity, supports collagen production, and protects against oxidative stress

Rapid Rehydration and Electrolyte Balance

This IV contains sterile saline fluid combined with essential electrolytes and vitamins that maintain proper cellular function, muscle contractions, and nerve signaling while the fluid restores intracellular and extracellular hydration. The combination restores hydration faster than drinking water alone when you need rapid recovery.

Athletic and Recovery Applications

Athletes use this infusion for rapid recovery after intense training sessions, endurance events, or competition. It restores hydration and electrolyte balance, which can shorten recovery time. Travel, heat exposure, or alcohol can also cause dehydration that responds well to IV fluids.

What the evidence shows

The Myers’ cocktail has been used since the 1970s, but the honest evidence is thin. The only placebo-controlled trial — a randomized study in fibromyalgia patients — found the Myers’ cocktail was no better than a saline placebo on pain, tender points, or quality of life, even though both groups improved (Ali et al., 2009). The formula traces to Alan Gaby’s review of John Myers’s clinical practice, which is case-based rather than controlled (Gaby, 2002).

For hydration specifically: IV fluids reliably correct genuine dehydration, but they are not a proven hangover cure. IV saline does not speed alcohol clearance (Li et al., 1999), and systematic reviews have found no treatment reliably fixes a hangover (Pittler et al., 2005). When you can keep fluids down, oral rehydration works for most people; an IV is most useful when nausea, vomiting, or a tight turnaround make drinking impractical.

We offer the Myers’ cocktail for the reasons people value it — fast fluids and a vitamin-and-mineral top-up under physician supervision — while being straight about what the data support. Dr. Movshis reviews your history before any infusion.
